Payroll Assistant

Job Summary


The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for assisting with payroll processing activities for Direct Labor (DL), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll of DL.

2. Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.

3. Maintaining a record of DL’s annual and sick leaves

4. Liaise with outsource related to DL’s attendance.

5. Calculate wages and applicable deductions based on DL attendance and timesheet records.

6. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.

7. Prepare reports for management regarding payroll expenses, hours worked, and other related data.

8. Assist in resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues from DL.

9. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

10. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate DL data and compliance with company policies.

11. Stay updated on relevant payroll laws and regulations.

12. Familiarity with Infotech HRMS systems is an advantage.

13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
 

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in the position

Excellent communication and teamwork

Computer skills in Microsoft office

Familiarity with payroll software or systems is often preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and emails is compulsory.

At least a Diploma holder or equivalent is required.

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and communicating with employees.

Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required
