Payroll Assistant
Overview Touro University is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to perform payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing, compliance with tax regulations, and strong attention to details. Responsibilities + Process biweekly payroll for university employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. + Maintain payroll records, including salaries, benefits, tax deductions and other withholdings. + Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage laws, and tax regulations. + Prepare and submit payroll reports to internal departments and external agencies as required. + Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies. + Collaborate with HR teams to manage employee compensation, benefits, and deductions. + Assist with audits related to payroll processes and records. + Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Qualifications Education/Experience + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration ,or a related field preferred. + Some payroll experience, preferably in an academic or nonprofit setting. Working Conditions + 3-4 days in the office. Maximum Salary USD $60,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $48,000.00/Yr.
