Job Summary
The Payroll Assistant will play a role in the timely and accurate processing of payroll for the organization. The role will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on time, while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. The duties will include processing payroll information, verifying timesheets, managing employee benefits, and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with processing weekly production payroll and bi-weekly payroll - in compliance with Fair Labor Standards Acts (FLSA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and State rules and regulation, including but not limited to maintaining and analyzing employee earnings taxes, voluntary and involuntary deductionsCalculate payroll checks and adjustmentsGenerate, review and analyze various payroll reports detecting errors and discrepanciesGenerate and distribute pay checks and payroll reportsReconcile payroll data with Kronos data and labor hoursMaintain the integrity of the payroll and time keeping systemRespond to employee and management inquiriesNOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive. Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-year payroll or accounting experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance or Accounting preferredStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)Prior experience with Kronos and Ulti ProBilingual: fluent in Spanish (speak, read, and write)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, desk phones, and smartphones. The position will also be required to regularly visit production facility work environments.
