Payroll Auditor

General Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that Sheppard Patt’s payroll records are accurate and complete. The Payroll Auditor will analyze the systems, processes, and structures of the existing payroll administration to identify errors and deficiencies and implement procedure changes. Make recommendations to leadership about pay practices and structure that improve accuracy and efficiency of payroll process, seeking simplification of procedures where possible. Informing leadership of any potential issues with records or compensation for employees timely with quick resolution and processes in place for reduction of risk going forward.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Work requires 6+ years of experience in payroll auditing for a complex organization with 5,000+ employees. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll and auditing. A keen eye for detail and forensic accounting perspective.
