Description
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to assist a client in the property management industry. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring employees receive timely and accurate payments while complying with regulations and maintaining precise records.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collect, verify, and input employee timecards into the payroll system, ensuring compliance with company policies and property management regulations.
+ Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including calculations for overtime, commissions, and bonuses.
+ Verify and record payroll deductions such as benefits, garnishments, and taxes.
+ Assist in preparing payroll tax filings and year-end reporting, including W-2 forms.
+ Reconcile payroll discrepancies by reviewing data and resolving errors in a timely manner.
+ Maintain organized and accurate payroll records for audits and regulatory compliance.
+ Respond to employee inquiries about payroll, deductions, and timecard discrepancies.
+ Collaborate with the human resources and accounting teams to ensure alignment on payroll procedures.
Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or an associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
+ Minimum of 1–3 years of payroll processing experience; experience in the property management industry is highly desirable.
+ Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or Paylocity and familiarity with time-tracking software.
+ Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll (if applicable), as well as property management-specific requirements like wage approvals for property staff.
+ Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Basic knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation is a plus.
