Description We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing and addressing employee payroll-related concerns. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to payroll operations while showcasing your organizational and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: • Process employee timecards and ensure all payroll calculations are accurate and completed on time. • Input and maintain payroll data using the designated payroll software. • Review payroll records to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors. • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and other payroll matters. • Assist in generating payroll reports and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion. • Support the payroll team in meeting deadlines and addressing any last-minute changes or issues. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing. • Familiarity with payroll software, with proficiency in ADP payroll systems being highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in handling financial data. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Effective communication skills to address employee questions and collaborate with team members. • Capacity to work independently while adhering to strict deadlines. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all payroll-related matters.
