Description We are looking to add a Payroll Clerk to our team in the non-profit sector located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves handling garnishments, voice of employees (VOE's), and interrogatories, as well as maintaining communication with third-party agencies. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle, process, and follow up on garnishments. • Conduct employment verifications. • Manage and respond to interrogatories. • Maintain regular communication with third-party agencies. • Ensure the proper delivery of termination letters to the court. • Regularly check and update account balances. • Handle a high volume of phone calls. • Conduct periodic audits of Paid Time Off (PTO). • Utilize Paylocity for various payroll functions. • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all payroll-related tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Auditing is necessary, as the role requires regular checks and balances to ensure accurate record-keeping. • The candidate must have experience with Payroll Garnishments, as this role involves managing and processing employee deductions. • Ability to handle Employment Verifications is crucial, as the role involves confirming the employment status of current and former employees. • Knowledge of Paylocity software is required, as this is the main tool used for managing payroll tasks. • Experience with Interrogatories is beneficial, as the role may involve responding to legal inquiries regarding payroll matters.
