Find out more at www.TransdevNA.com or watch an overview video at https://youtu.be/ilO5cv0G4mQ  OVERVIEW: Responsible for the timely and accurate filing of payroll for hourly and salaried staff and related record keeping and accounting activities under general supervision. What We Offer:Pay Range: $21.00/hr. - $24/hr. per hour  Consistent full-time, year-round work.  An excellent benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage, and 401(k) savings plan.  Paid holidays, vacation, & sick time.  Ongoing company training on state-of-the-art online system.  Opportunities for career advancement nationwide.  A great work environment!    DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Performs duties associated with the overall administration of the payroll function utilizing ADP EV5 payroll system and ADP eTimeResponsible for the preparation and processing of multiple multi-state union and non-union weekly & biweekly payroll processing from start to finish Establish/maintain the accuracy of employee records by both manual data entry and auditing the database for all employee record changes including, but not limited to: status changes, pay rate changes, address changes, new hires, terminations, tax withholdings and direct deposit informationReview changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulationsAssists with calculating employees’ hours from timecards and timekeeping systems; ensures that all employees are paid on time and accurately Special Check Requests, including Retro Pay, Commissions, Bonuses, Lay-off / Termination, Union Settlements and other situations, as applicable.Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, finance and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor" home" work, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports).Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically in relating well to diverse groups Prepare payroll related reports as needed;  Prepare Union reports and payment requests.  Troubleshoots payroll issues; verifies the accuracy of figures and computationsResponds to employee questions regarding all types of payroll questionsMaintains confidentiality of all informationResponsible for opening corporate mail daily and taking the appropriate actions to handle or route as necessaryOther duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Education, Licensing, and Certifications:  Education: High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required. Education Preferred: Business school or certificate from the American Payroll Association in Fundamentals of Payroll (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred Experience:  Field and years of experience required: 3-5 years of relevant payroll experience,   Experience preferred: Experience in a transit environment preferred Skills and Knowledge Required:  ADP EV5 & ADP eTime Multi-Company payroll experienceWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and AccessAbility to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and proceduresGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to organize and perform work efficiently;
