Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk to join our team based in Tacoma, Washington. As a Payroll Clerk, your role will primarily involve managing and processing payroll data, maintaining accurate records, and handling various accounting-related tasks. This role is situated within the industry, where you will work alongside a dedicated team to ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll • Manage data entry for new hires into the payroll system • Maintain and update payroll records for staff across multiple locations • Work with various accounting software systems to ensure accurate record keeping • Assist with the reorganization of payroll functions for efficiency • Handle payroll for both staff and production departments, including those in the US and Canada • Contribute to various other projects as required • Work with the HRIS specialist on reporting tasks • Utilize software such as UKG and Microsoft Suite for various tasks • Ensure strict attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential. • Familiarity with Dayforce software is desirable. • Knowledge of About Time software is a plus. • Ability to handle Accounting Functions with accuracy and efficiency. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Auditing skills are essential for this role. • Competence in handling Benefit Functions is required. • Proficiency in using UKG Pro software is a plus. • Prior experience in Payroll management is crucial. • Experience in managing Weekly Payroll is desirable.
