Payroll Clerk
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the service industry, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55114, United States. We are in search of a Payroll Clerk who can handle a multitude of accounting functions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This role involves processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving inquiries, amongst other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Efficient and accurate processing of biweekly payroll for all employees • Ensuring the integrity of payroll and HRIS entries to maintain the quality of data • Addressing inquiries related to payroll processes such as wage histories and direct deposit changes • Assisting in the preparation of monthly journal entries and financial reports • Handling daily cash deposits and recording cash receipts into the general ledger system • Taking responsibility for all payroll-related functions, including year-end processing, production and distribution of W-2 statements • Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget for salaries and wages • Contributing to financial analysis and budgets for grants and programs affecting wages and payroll • Preparing workers' compensation schedules and related journal entries • Handling monthly caretaker billings, utility reports, and consolidated affiliate financial statements Skills: • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Dayforce • Knowledge of About Time and Accounting Functions • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Auditing • Understanding of Benefit Functions and UKG Pro • Experience with Multi-state Payroll and Multi-State Processing • Capability in Billing, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.
