Description We are on the search for a Payroll Clerk I to join our operations in WESTERVILLE, Ohio. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with handling data from various sources such as time sheets, production records, and individual time cards and inputting them into our computerized payroll system. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately input data from time sheets, production records, and individual time cards into the computerized payroll system. • Conduct balancing of payroll runs to ensure accuracy in all transactions. • Process federal, state, and local tax payments in compliance with all relevant regulations. • Address employee inquiries promptly and professionally, providing clear and concise information. • Troubleshoot any payroll-related issues that arise, implementing effective solutions. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard practices and procedures within the payroll field. • Work under immediate supervision, adhering to all provided instructions and guidelines. • Ensure the proper functioning of payroll-related activities by utilizing your knowledge of payroll practices and procedures. • Refrain from exercising independent judgment unless required by specific circumstances. • Regularly report to a supervisor or manager, providing updates and seeking guidance as needed.
