JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for monthly payroll processing, coordination with external payroll service providers, preparing payroll balance sheet accounts and assisting the Payroll Manager in managing regional payroll activities.
Position requires strong collaboration with other team members and other departments in ensuring the day-to-day payroll functions are operating efficiently.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
1. Responsible for accurate and timely execution of associate payroll by external service provider. This includes:
Involved in the full cycle of payroll processing for Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan and other countries as assignedPrepare and maintain monthly payroll schedulesCompute and validate commissions and incentives per compensation plansValidate monthly payroll submissions ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with local legislation and corporate policyLiaise with HR, Tax Consultant and Corporate teams for payroll-related matters, and ensure compliance with established policies and proceduresIdentify and recommend improvements to payroll related work processes.2. Prepare for local statutory submission including:
CPF and other payroll-related submissions such as CPF adjustments, CPF Paid in Error & CPF Refund of payments made in excess of Additional Wages (AW) ceiling etc.Process payroll applications for government rebates/reimbursement such as NS make-up claims, Pro-family claims etc.Assist in the completion of annual income & tax filings (e.g. IR8A and IR21) within stipulated timelines.3. Payroll Accounting:
Prepare payroll journals for upload to financial accounting systemPrepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliation for payroll related accountsPrepare monthly payroll accruals such as Commission, Annual Leave, Bonus etc.Ensure Payroll balance sheets are prepared, updated and reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner.Responsible for payroll invoice verificationResponsible for reconciliation of payroll accounts4. Ensure adequate controls are in place around all matters pertaining to payroll:
Prepare documentation and reconciliations for external auditMaintain strict confidentiality of all associate payroll records.5. Prepare payroll related information and analysis:
Responsible for monthly headcount reconciliation & payroll reports to business partners Ad-hoc payroll reporting to HRAttend to payroll enquiries from associates, internal & external stakeholders.6. Assist in the implementation of payroll processes and payroll systems in new locations (if any)
7. Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
