Job Description
As Payroll Expert, you are a member of payroll team in Bulgaria, responsible to coordinate all payroll processes for the overall payroll lifecycle. You ensure all employees are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations and the company’s established processing guidelines. You provide outstanding customer service to our internal customers (employees), regarding all payroll questions and concerns. You provide support to our stores, offices & company distribution center, regarding payroll matters. You coordinate with the outsourced payroll company and you are the contact person towards authorities for all issues concerning payroll, tax and social insurance matters.
Responsibilities:
Secure monthly payroll execution accurately, timely and in accordance with local laws and company routines by confirming payroll calculationsAble to calculate ad hoc request for various cases e.g. salary review, employee exits, etcMonitor, update and run all processes for changes regarding employee status (registrations, de-registrations, contracts, annexes etc.) in collaboration with internal stakeholders, external payroll provider and relevant authoritiesMonitor employee time attendance system, manage absences, overtime and accompanying actions (documentation, reporting etc.) by securing accurate information for payroll calculationEfficiently collaborate with external payroll provider according to agreed routines, in order to secure payroll calculation accuracyDeliver trainings for key payroll matters (e.g. time attendance systems, payroll routines etc.) to key stakeholdersMaintain accurate payroll and employee files according to local law and company routinesSecure compliance with all external authorities relevant to payroll functionPrepare needed reports internally and/or externally on a need's basis (authorities and/or internal customers / auditors)Act as point of contact for authorities and internal customersManage employee benefits from payroll side (e.g. employee staff discount plan & Incentive Program)QualificationsWhat you need to succeed:
Working experience in relevant payroll positions, preferably in retail businessDegree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/HR or equivalent professional certification would be an assetUnderstanding and staying up-to-date with local labor-payroll laws, legal regulations and payroll routinesStrong skills in planning, organizing, coordination and project managementStrong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detailsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel)Very good level of English, spoken and writtenAdditional InformationThis is a full-time and permanent position, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, reporting to Payroll Manager for cluster of Region East Europe.
