And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come. **About the role** + Our Local Payroll Expertise team for the US, composed of 4 payroll Specialist positions (2 including Payroll Expert and Payroll Specialist role in the US, 2 in Curitiba), is integrated in the Global Payroll and Time department and focuses on delivering Local Payroll Expertise for the US. + As a Payroll Expert for US, reporting to the Payroll Manager for Local Payroll Expertise teams, you manage daily operations staying up to date with local payroll legal, regulatory and tax rules, training and supporting the Operations team. + You will be accountable for: + Reviewing that all the time & payroll activities are processed on time with a high level of accuracy + Administer new legislation and HR agreements in the US (e.g. for change requests)- ensuring the maintenance of the legal rules in the payroll process and system + Provide updated documentation, expertise and support to colleagues and internal stakeholders (Payroll Operations, Business HR, employees, Managers…) + Manage Workers Comp Administration for Non-Monopolistic States + Process GL Posting and Account reconciliations (monthly, Quarterly, etc) + Deliver information to the external authorities, might represent Solvay towards these authorities (e.g. for audits) + Manage applicable federal, state and local tax for proper coding and reconciliation for payment + Manage Garnishment and Levy set up and maintenance for employees + Participate in Audit and Compliance requests + Maintenance of the confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information + Manage banking for payroll submission and + Collaborate on Year End reconciliation and W2 processing + We offer a permanent contract with hybrid working mode. **About you:** + Bachelor in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field. + Strong experience in US Payroll in an industrial context + Competencies: + Deep knowledge of HR systems such as SAP HR, payroll systems and time management systems + Comfortable managing large amounts of data, an advanced user of Spreadsheets (e.g. Excel) and reports + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills + Customer orientation with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization + Behaviors: + Collaboration, open mindedness + Team work + Initiative **About the pay and benefits** + Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $105,000/yr to $112,000/yr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
