Payroll/HR Specialist (78916-1)
DUTIES :

Provides support to the HR admin and payroll process and performs payroll processing functions. Familiar using HRIS system, preferably ADP workforce now.

· Assist HR and payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.

· Reviews and verifies payroll data in a timely manner, calculates overtime and other pay premiums, and enters payroll data.

· Audit and maintain records of employee time sheets for hours worked and accuracy

· Maintain employee records files including but not limited to new hire, employee information, PTO accrual, and benefits

· Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, and employment verifications.

· Posts payroll reports and prepares month-end reports and assist payroll reports for Accounting Department.

· Prepares manual checks as necessary.

· Reconciles all payroll-related accounts and activities.

· Assists with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, procedures, and compliance.

· Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations for payroll and benefits * if they have this knowledge, we can pay higher rate
