As Payroll Manager, this individual is responsible for managing the biweekly processing of the employee payroll, including the supervision of Payroll department staff.
Key Responsibilities:
·Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.
·Reconciles payroll and payroll tax accruals to the general ledger and resolves any discrepancies.
·Establishes and implements payroll processes to ensure compliance with current government regulations and to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
·Supervises Payroll staff, ensuring appropriate direction and support.
·Prepares and submits government reporting related to payroll and payroll tax, such as year-end W2 and 1099 reporting.
Competencies Required:
·Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
·Effective problem solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Strong leadership and customer service skills.
·Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
·Strong working knowledge of Payroll systems (Ultipro and Kronos preferred).
·Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, (Office, Excel, Word).

·High school diploma or equivalent required.
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
·Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
Work Status:
·Full-time.
Supervisory Responsibility:
·2 or more direct reports.
Travel:
·0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.
Working Conditions:
·Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
