Position Summary: 
This position will manage multi-state payroll functions for the Wyman Gordon Division.  Audit and review complete payroll application, 401K administration, and benefit audits.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 
•    Audit process of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely.
•    Direct supervisor for the Division payroll staff.
•    Critically review and analyze payroll benefit tax procedures in order to recommend and/or implement changes leading to best practices.
•    Supervise and coordinate fiscal and calendar year-end processing of payroll, W-2 and other tax forms, and other government required documentation.
•    Audit payroll year to date, fringe, etc. on all company codes for the Wyman Gordon Division.
•    Complete month-end reconciliations for payroll liability accounts.
•    Communicate actively with locations regarding deadlines, changes, etc. on payroll applications.
•    Train team members and create training documentation on systems, procedures, and policies as necessary.
•    Perform Sarbanes Oxley audits as required for the payroll department.
•    Work with internal and external auditors.
•    Control the ADP master file and any changes to custom calculations, feeds, etc. with all company codes.
•    Prepare management reports as needed.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance and/or equivalent experience and training. 
•    Seven (7) years payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment with a minimum of 2,000 employees on payroll 
•    Basic knowledge and ability to apply Division time, attendance and pay policies, as well as state and federal wage and hour laws, is preferred.
•    Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels.
•    Previous experience with automated payroll systems, including data entry is strongly preferred, knowledge of ADP payroll system desirable.
•    Previous supervisory experience required.
•    Ability to effectively supervisor team members and work as a member of that team and organize work activities for other members of that team.
•    Ability to maintain confidential information.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement process improvements.
•    Strong customer service skills.
•    Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
•    Strong time management skills.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
•    Familiarity with SOX compliance is a plus. 

Working Conditions:
•    Up to 25% travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to sit and work in an office environment for extended periods of time.
