Champion Windows - Payroll Manager (Hybrid Cincinnati)

 

As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for collecting, entering, and reviewing pay data; processing and distributing payroll on a weekly basis for approximately 1100+ employees and 60 payrolls using ADP. You will process and audit the payroll and ADP timecards, oversee the complete organization of all payroll files, and assist in the development and implementation of improved payroll processes and procedures. Also, the Payroll Manager must have a firm understanding of payroll theory, possess the ability to apply changes whether legislative in nature or management driven, be able to adhere to rigorous deadlines and be committed to producing a great payroll product using ADP. 

Responsibilities

· Serving as the primary point of contact for the Payroll department.

· Supervise team of 2 Payroll Specialists

· Processing and maintaining hourly and salary new hires, terminations, direct deposits, status changes, tax changes, deductions, H.S.A., 401K, transfers, commissions, referral rewards, incentives, defer compensation payout, bonuses, FMLA, LOA, STD, benefits, amendments, out of sequence payrolls, liens, and wage garnishments.

· Yearly audit of payroll and 401(k) files, ensuring compliance

· Processing of manual checks such as terminations and discrepancies as needed.

· Providing guidance on Federal, State, and local payroll taxes

· Responding to unemployment requests and tax notices/inquiries.

· Preparing ADP reports: monthly, quarterly, and yearly (reporting/processing for: workers compensation, EEO, census, headcount, multiple state worksites etc.)

· Responding to auditing/regulator inquiries as it relates to payroll audit and compliance, providing information/documentation for audit requests.

· May be assigned to perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or other relevant field of study.

· 5+ years direct payroll experience using ADP including multi-state payroll.

· Strong understanding of payroll taxes and FLSA laws

· Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

· Able to work flexible hours and meet deadlines.
