Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for our Americas entities. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness while partnering with various teams such as HR, Benefits, Compensation, Stock, Sales Operations, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax. This role requires a subject matter expert for all United States payroll-related matters and occasional support for Costa Rica payroll.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and process end-to-end payroll for Americas entities.
+ Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll processing.
+ Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Stock, Sales Operations, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax teams.
+ Serve as the subject matter expert for United States payroll-related matters.
+ Assist with off-cycle payrolls for bonus, commission, and stock, including backup for international entities.
+ Review and approve off-cycle terminations for US employees.
+ Document and maintain payroll standard operating procedures.
+ Ensure compliance with SOX controls within the payroll cycle.
+ Review payroll audit reports and process adjustments with third-party vendor (OSV).
+ Reconcile payroll tax deposits, funding, and quarterly returns, including amendments.
+ Prepare year-end reconciliation and review W-2/W-3 filings.
+ Support system integrations/workflows between HR and global payroll systems and resolve discrepancies.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
+ Stay informed of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions and issues.
+ Participate in special projects, month-end close, external audits, or ad hoc analyses as assigned.
+ Maintain sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of integrity and privacy.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related discipline.
+ 7+ years of direct payroll experience with multiple US jurisdictions/currencies.
+ Experience partnering across functional lines with effective interpersonal skills.
+ Deep understanding of payroll and tax labor law.
+ Experience with Workday highly preferred.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google worksheets.
+ Highly analytical with knowledge of general payroll protocols and accounting principles.
Qualifications
+ Experience with SOX or similar control oversight.
+ Familiarity with Fidelity, Workday, OSV Atmosphere, or other payroll and HR systems.
+ Knowledge and mindset for automation and process improvements.
+ Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
+ Exceptional communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
This role is full-time, 40 hours a week, and is located remotely within the United States. The position reports to the Sr. Global Payroll Manager based in Bellevue. You will need to manage payroll operations with minimal supervision and provide exceptional customer experience to employees globally.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $49.00
