Payroll Oracle Functional Lead

Primarily technical but have functional understanding of Oracle Payroll and HCM modules.
Provide functional/technical post-production support for Oracle Fusion/Cloud US Payroll module.
Trouble shoot and resole payroll related issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Configure and set up Oracle Fusion Payroll based on business requirements and legislative changes (including pay impacted requirements for Core HR, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, Time system, Compensation and Finance).
Understanding data flow through various modules such as Core HR, Benefits, Absence Management, HCM, Recruiting, Compensation and interfaces from vendors such as API and ADP.
In depth understanding of key payroll processes like Oncycle and Offcycle payroll, balance adjustments, quarter end and year end, accruals and reversals, and payroll and payment costing.
Hands-on with HR Data Loader (HDL) and HR Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL).
Must have hands on experience with Oracle fast formulas and HCM extracts.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex payroll problems, ability to create and support Oracle service requests, and collaborating with technical teams for resolutions.
Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations, implements updates for compliance.
Ability to perform impact analysis of monthly, quarterly and year end upgrades and identify areas for regression testing.
Conduct through testing of payroll configurations and changes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for Oracle Fusion Payroll configurations and setups.
Provide training session for end-users on Oracle Fusion Payroll functionalities and processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Oracle Fusion Payroll system.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to align payroll processes with overall business goals including designing of integrations, fast formulas, updating tables, etc.
Create functional and provide inputs for technical design documents.
Ability to generate as hoc reports and queries to support business requirements and decision-making processes.
Understanding of Cloud log files and ability to read to determine issues.
Understanding of roles and security, and their influence in payroll.
Experience with Year End and Year Begin process configuration and execution (ie., W2s, W2Cs, and Form 1095).
Actively participate in status meetings and discussions, contributing functional expertise. Facilitate knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams for effective system utilization.
