About the role
Our Payroll Platform team, composed of 11 people, is integrated in our Global Business Services and focuses on executing the monthly payroll for our active employees in collaboration with our HR Service Line. As a Payroll Process Specialist, you will be in charge of providing accurate and timely services linked to Payroll or Benefits for Belgium and Netherlands. You will also have the opportunity to help design new processes in addition to monthly payroll operations, and have a positive impact on several operational and complex activities linked to Payroll or Benefits. You will be accountable for: Provide accurate and timely payroll services for Belgium and Netherlands in collaboration with the Payroll team as well as the external payroll provider. For more clarity, Solvay does not work with a social office in Belgium; Accountable for the management and administration in payroll of different kinds of advantages or other specific monthly or yearly payroll processes for Belgium and Netherlands Manage employees information/database (via SuccessFactors / HRX and SAP) for Belgium and Netherlands Process salary administration and follow-up (especially closing, monitoring of monthly salaries, bonuses, allowances, …) and time registration follow-up for Belgium and Netherlands Give support in order to prepare audits and risk managements (internal or external) related to Payroll for Belgium and Netherlands: manage and respect deadlines, provide the information required and assure follow-up on short term basis Dealing with certificates and other documents Responsible to assure business continuity and continuous improvements with the support of payroll platform members Review salary payslips by performing data and gross amounts controls Contact via ticketing system with regards to employees questions related to salaries and advantages We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.
About you
University degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Economy or Finance with some emphasis in Human Resources field or equivalent through experience. Strong experience in Payroll on an operational level - minimum 5 years’ experience in Belgian and Netherlands Payroll Competencies: Belgium / Netherlands payroll and legislation knowledge is mandatory Fluent in French and English Dutch or international payroll experience is a plus Dutch speaking skills is a plus In-depth knowledge of SAP HR; Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google tools, advanced use of spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) Behaviors: Work proactively and autonomously with strong customer service orientation; Well organized, stress resilient, being able to respect deadline, being a team player & collaborative approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills
About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portuguese base pay reasonably expected for this role is 32,480 EUR to 40,600 EUR (annual base), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
