Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Services Specialist (PSS) to join our team on a temporary basis to cover for a maternity leave. As a Payroll Services Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate payroll of contractors. You will also act as a liaison with the corporate office regarding all accounting-related issues. If you have strong data integrity and compliance skills, thrive in a team environment, and enjoy contributing to the bigger picture, this role is perfect for you. Effective time management, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Building effective relationships with our immediate team and ecosystem partners is crucial. MUST LIVE NEAR TROY, MI.

ResponsibilitiesManage timecard and expense collection, entry, and auditingProcess payroll on a weekly basisAssist teams with reporting holiday/vacation, sick time, and CA meal break trackersComplete payroll adjustments in eRecruit and VMS technologyIdentify and resolve worker-related issuesBuild strong ecosystem partnerships with accounting & finance and complianceResolve payroll and invoicing issues in partnership with the Employee Relationship Specialist and corporate office teamsMaintain client and contractor employee relations by researching and solving concerns related to payroll and invoicing in a timely fashionMaintain unemployment recordsEssential SkillsClerical/data entry experience (minimum 2 years)Excel - beginner levelMS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, TeamsStrong communication skillsTeam playerProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsAbility to work fully remoteAdditional Skills & QualificationsPayroll processing experienceKnowledge of benefits/employment lawHuman Resources or Staffing related background (preferred if no payroll experience)Work Environment

This position is fully remote, preferring candidates who live in Michigan. The working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm. Laptop and equipment will be shipped directly to the employee. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
