Key responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist will be :
\u2022 Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
\u2022 Process terminations and prepare Records of Employment (ROE) on a timely basis in accordance with applicable legislation
\u2022 Verify and reconcile payroll, and make adjustments as needed
\u2022 Prepare EHT, WSIB remittance on a monthly basis and will assist on yearly reconciliation
\u2022 Liaise closely with People and Culture to ensure documentation and input to payroll system is complete
\u2022 Liaise with the relevant government authorities if necessary
\u2022 Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and associates in a timely manner
\u2022 Assist in reconciling and balancing payroll year-end, ensure all year-end adjustments are made (e.g. CPP\/EI deficiencies, etc.)
\u2022 Produce and distribute T4\u2019s & T4A\u2019s and annual EHT and WSIB filings
\u2022 Reconcile and analyze various financial information related to payroll on a monthly basis
