Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to compliance regulations and internal policies. Key Responsibilities: + Process payroll for employees on a biweekly schedule, ensuring timely and accurate payments. + Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date. + Calculate wages, tax deductions, benefits, and other withholdings in adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. + Prepare payroll reports, including summaries for accounting purposes and audit compliance. + Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits. + Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll updates. + Stay informed of changes to payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments as needed. + Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and other tax-related documentation. Requirements + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. + 2+ years of payroll processing experience. + Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms). + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for report analysis and data entry. + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus. + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and cross-functional teams.
