Job Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees, with a strong command of Deltek Costpoint and a working knowledge of ADP systems. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and customer service.Key Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now for approximately 500 employees in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Importing semi-monthly timesheets via electronic Time and Expense system into Deltek Costpoint Accounting system.  Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changesRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdingsCollaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee dataAssist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and year-end reporting, including W-2 and 941 filingsSupport ADP-related tasks as needed, such as benefits integration or reportingStay current on payroll best practices and relevant labor lawsQualifications:2–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a government contracting environmentHands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint is requiredFamiliarity with ADP platforms (such as Workforce Now or Run) is a plusKnowledge of federal and state wage and hour lawsStrong Excel skills and general proficiency with MS Office SuiteExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrityStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplineAdvanced Microsoft Excel Skills.Experience supporting payroll for cleared personnel or within the defense contracting industryKnowledge of fringe benefits, DCAA compliance, and labor category structuresWork Environment:In-office work may be required based on operational needs but flexibility on some hybrid work after initial training period.  Collaborative team environment with opportunities for cross-training and growth
