\nPurpose:
\n
\nThe role of the Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk is to provide financial and administrative support for the organization. They process payroll, payments, verify invoices and reconcile all expenses to keep track of what's going out of the business.
\n 
\nResponsibilities:\n\n\tKeeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.\n\tMaintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data\n\tUpdating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deduction\n\tCalculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation\n\tResolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries\n\tPaying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks\n\tReconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances\n\tPaying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance\n\tPreparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports\n\tProcessing due invoices for payments\n\tEnsuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures \n\tPerform accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
\n\t \n\nEducation and Certifications:\n\n\n\tHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent\n\n

\nKnowledge and Experience:
\n \n\n\t2+ years of accounts payable and payroll experience required\n\tMust be proficient in standard office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook\n\tStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion       \n\tProblem solving skills with an analytical thought process.\n\tAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing/evolving environment.\n\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\tPropensity and willingness to learn new technologies.\n\tSelf-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment and comply with tight deadlines.\n\tAttention to detail and an organized approach to performing work.\n\tTeam player with strong partnering skills and able to work in diverse groups and teams.\n\n
