Payroll Specialist
Overview This is a hybrid role based in Malvern, PA CubeSmart is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our corporate office in Malvern, PA. The Payroll Specialist, reporting to the Payroll Manager, will be responsible for completing the administrative duties of the payroll department by supporting multiple locations in 36+ states for over 3,000 teammates. Responsibilities Play a key role in processing weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt teammates in a multi-state environment including auditing time import file, balancing payroll, researching discrepancies and assisting in the preparation of the payroll review packet Serve as a first level teammate support for all payroll, paid time off and time & attendance questions ensuring our teammates receive the highest level of service Process workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely Process teammate payroll garnishments working with agencies as well as our payroll service provider to ensure accuracy and resolve issues Maintains knowledge of federal, state and local payroll administration laws, regulations and best practices. Administer miscellaneous payments in the payroll system including commission, stock transactions, dividend payments, adjusted overtime and manual checks. Respond to queries regarding garnishments or payroll withholdings Assist with regular audits, including Financial Audit, Pension and Workmen’s Comp Audit Assist with related projects and performs miscellaneous administrative functions to support our Payroll and Shared Services team Participate in other departmental projects as assigned Exemplifies and embraces CubeSmart’s award winning WOW! Customer service Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred One to two years payroll processing experience required in a high-volume environment Experience with processing pay through an HRIS system, Ultimate Software preferred Traits/Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Ultimate Software Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills Strong aptitude towards efficiency, quality and consistency as well as a focus on customer service Ability to deal with difficult situations involving, sensitive and confidential teammate issues Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain relationships with all levels of teammates #LI-MT1 #LI-Hybrid
