Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will perform all activities necessary to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing according to the payroll production schedule. This includes collecting, validating, balancing, and exporting payroll data. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist researches issues and resolves errors related to payroll processing activities. The Payroll Specialist role is hands-on, performing a variety of functions in a fast-paced and high-volume department, with a focus on providing excellent customer service to our
8,000+ associates among our 130+ hotels and 15+ legal entities.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Payroll Manager in day-to-day data collection, preparation, and export of pay data files to ADP in
accordance with the timelines outlined in the production schedule
• Communicate and coordinate with location contacts regarding payroll and timekeeping items
• Directly interface with ADP to ensure that payroll data is provided accurately and efficiently
• Research, resolve, and document payroll errors and issues in a timely manner
• Review and audit payroll data/reports to ensure results meet expectations
• Generate and prepare payroll reports including custom/Excel reports
• Provide Tier 3 payroll support to associates and location leaders (e.g., research, investigate, and respond
to employee and management payroll questions and requests)
• Assist with off-cycle payroll processing and manual payments including on-demand payment options
• Process voids and stop payments
• Participate in Internal/ADP meetings related to administration of payroll
• Monitor internal controls, policies and procedures, and best practices as they relate to payroll processing
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll review including W2 handling
• Continually work towards gaining advanced-level knowledge of Remington’s payroll processes/systems
• Assist with administering payroll systems and payroll process training for field locations
• Special projects as needed
