Payroll Specialist

Compensation: Wage DOE

Our Payroll Specialist is responsible for all aspects of payroll operations and performs a variety of payroll functions, including processing multi-property bi-weekly payrolls, preparing quarterly and annual tax reports, and supervising the Lead Payroll Assistant. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree or certifications in applicable field preferred.  Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have at least four years prior experience in a similar position, including experience with payroll systems at a comparably sized operation.  Must be able to enter and calculate rate changes, vacations, transfers, promotions and terminations accurately. Must be able to maintain all payroll and timecard databases and produce both standard and custom reports utilizing Cognos and WFM. Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of all quarterly and annual tax reports.  Must have an understanding of the flow of payroll data to the general ledger. Proven skills in relationship building, critical thinking, and verbal/written communication required.  Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations. Demonstrated proficiency in personal computers, specifically Windows, spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel required.
