Payroll Specialist

Position Highlights:

Position: Payroll SpecialistLocation: Arlington Heights, ILFull TimeHours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pmHybrid Schedule: some onsite work with primary remote flexibility


A Brief Overview:
The Payroll Specialist role delivers excellent customer service related to payroll. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, reviews and enters hours and other data into the Time and Attendance and Payroll Systems. Responds to wage garnishment notices and other related legal notices in a timely and professional manner. Assists Coordinator, Payroll and Payroll Manager with special projects as assigned.
 

What you will do:

Complete daily business processes and transactions in multiple Payroll systems for a large organization.Provides customer service to employees via phone, email, and case management system.Reviews pay policies and pay history to identify potential payroll issues and provide a resolution.                                                            Handles withholding orders, and coordinates with vendors.Reconcile payroll data, including direct deposit issues, stale dated checks, garnishment refunds, and stop payments.Create Pay Cards with approval from Supervisor.           Participates in special projects     

What you will need:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a human resources related area such as benefits, payroll or HR systems.Previous Payroll systems, such as Workday and ADP, experience is a plus.Intermediate expertise of Microsoft Office applications required.1+ years of payroll experience preferred.
