We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support our mission.
This role is based in the San Francisco or New York office and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Role
Process payroll for over 400 employees, including US multi-state semi-monthly and international monthly payroll
Manage time and attendance workflow to ensure all timesheets, time off requests, and other payroll data is received timely and is accurate
Load various one-time payments, such as bonuses and wellness-related benefits
Process and submit employee equity transactions and related tax withholding
Handle day-today payroll activities and resolve payroll-related discrepancies, resolve employee payroll inquiries, and ensure timely corrections
Assist with audits related to payroll
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all payroll remittances and reporting
Ensure accurate payroll deductions, such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments
Register new states and localities
Assist in preparing payroll reports for management, accounting, and audit purposes
Stay up-to-date with relevant payroll laws and regulations, including changes to tax rates and reporting requirements
Provide timely response to inquiries from HR, Accounting, managers, employees, governments, and other third-party agencies utilizing knowledge and interpretation of policies, procedures, and legislation
About You
Proven experience (2-5 years) as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and best practices
Experience with year-end close and W-2 processing
Familiarity with Workday Payroll preferred
Experience with Fidelity, Forma, Larkin, and Carrot preferred
Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work cross-functionally, and follow through to execute all tasks
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and G-Suite
