Payroll Specialist
Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Description As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing semi-monthly multi-state payroll, entering employee payroll data (banking, taxes, allowances, garnishments), and resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. You will provide payroll information by answering questions and requests, audit employee timesheets and payroll results, and verify manual payroll adjustments. You will also maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Responsibilities + Process semi-monthly multi-state payroll. + Enter employee payroll data including banking, taxes, allowances, and garnishments. + Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. + Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests. + Audit employee timesheets and payroll results. + Verify manual payroll adjustments. + Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures. + Report needed changes to payroll policies and procedures. + Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. + Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Essential Skills + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Access. + 3+ years of high-volume payroll experience, preferably with Ceridian Dayforce. + Experience with multi-state payroll processing with 800+ employees. + Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. + Good customer service skills. + High school diploma (associate's degree preferred). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Self-starter able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks + Team-oriented and flexible, able to work with deadlines Work Environment You will work in a team of 8 for domestic payroll processing.
