Payroll Specialist
Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for 600-700 employees across 5 union contracts. You will also be tasked with manually entering time and deductions, tracking manual timesheets emailed to you, and responding to emails regarding paychecks. You will report directly to the Director of Finance and Budget Analyst. Responsibilities + Process payroll for 600-700 employees. + Manage payroll operations in accordance with 5 union contracts. + Respond to emails regarding paycheck inquiries. + Manually enter time and deductions into the payroll system. + Track and manage manual timesheets emailed by employees. Essential Skills + Proficiency in payroll processing. + Strong data entry skills. + Knowledge of payroll accounting. + Experience with manual time and deduction entry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in Excel. + Experience with payroll systems such as Munis, Frontline, and Veritime. + This is an ongoing contract role which has the chance of perm employment. Work Environment This position is based in an office setting, working alongside two additional payroll professionals. The work hours are Monday through Friday, either from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, totaling a 37.5-hour work week. The role requires on-site presence five days a week.
