Payroll Specialist
Reporting to the Payroll Manager this individual administers payroll for University Campuses. Answer inquiries from University employees in reference to their payroll records. Assist management with access and submission of employee’s time through the time and attendance system. Work with Human Resources and Campuses to ensure accurate payroll data is received and processed in a timely manner.

Enters payroll documentation for processing as it is receivedResponds to employee payroll inquiresAssist employees with utilizing timekeeping system (Replicon)Prepare pay input entries for managerial audit prior to completion of payroll using Workday Payroll Calculations featureAssist employees with utilizing Employee Self Service for taxes and payment electionsRequired knowledge of Form W2 to assist employees with inquiriesRequired knowledge of Cafeteria 125 pre-tax deductions to assist employees with inquiries

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience preferred

Work Experience:

2-4 years’ experience of payroll administration in a medium or large company

Job Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of customer service skillsMust have ability to work independentlyMust be detail oriented and possess the ability to follow up, resolve and close all issuesProficiency in ExcelUnderstanding of FMLA rulesUnderstanding of Garnishment rules by statesMust have strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Must communicate with accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality while interacting with a broad range of employees and managers
