The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees across multiple departments. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work both remotely and from our office in Washington, DC. Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly and/or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.Review timekeeping data and resolve any discrepancies related to employee attendance, overtime, and leave.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, ensuring that all payroll taxes and deductions are accurate.Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings.Maintain and update employee records, including salary changes, benefits enrollment, and deductions.Assist with the setup and management of employee benefit programs (health insurance, 401(k), etc.).Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related questions, deductions, and tax filings.Assist with month-end and year-end payroll reconciliation processes.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding, terminations, and other employee status changes.Stay current on payroll-related regulations, tax changes, and best practices to ensure compliance.Assist with audits and reporting as needed.
