Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Clayton, MO
Salary: $55,300 - $81,800
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 1 day remote per week
Focus: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting Olin payroll operations through executing key payroll related tasks while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
Payroll Specialist Essential Job Functions:
Prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls, including creating, reviewing, and/or adjusting payroll entries, earnings and deductionsAnalyze and reconcile payroll discrepancies for union, non-union and salary employeesProcess, print, seal and distribute paychecksResponsible for monthly printing of Pension checks and annual printing of Forms 1099-RDevelop and document process improvementsTest system updates/upgradesProvide backup support for other Payroll personnel Liaison between employees, supervisors, HR, Leave team and Olin locationsPayroll Specialist Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree* preferredMinimum of 2 years of relevant payroll-related experienceMust be able to manage multiple processes and work well under time sensitive deadlinesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office; Proficiency in PeopleSoft/Workday and Kronos preferredSuperior communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills requiredMust demonstrate strong attention to detail and be team-orientedMust exercise diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality at all times
