Payroll Specialist

The role is based in Belgium, working for two sites, Diegem and Verviers, so locally but definitely with an international touch. You will partner with HR and Business Leadership on payroll topics and partner with our Vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery and statutory reporting. Furthermore, you will provide professional and trustworthy service for employees and managers for local country-specific compensation and benefits queries and will coordinate all administrative related processes such as long-term illness, time credits etc. and administrate employment contracts and insurances. We look forward to seeing your application! **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** **Payroll Processing:** + Prepare payroll input data for payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration, such as provident fund, insurance, and healthcare plans; Validate payroll data input in the Vendor System, and ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies + Monitor payroll process based on the agreed and published payroll calendar, resolve any payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately + Work with internal and external stakeholders to implement new legal setups in payroll systems; Follow-up on statutory reporting and payments, work with tax authorities for payment and reporting issues and new tax set-ups including shadow payroll and salary splits + Maintain data integrity and guarantee data security standards for all payroll-related information **Data Management and Reporting:** + Review and analyze payroll reports, including gross-to-net calculations, payroll summaries, and reconciliation reports, troubleshoot errors, if any + Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements + Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries **Coordination and Support:** + Partner with HR and Business Leadership on implementing legal, CBA, and local policy changes in payroll acting as a single point of contact on payroll topics + Collaborate with the HRIS, local HR, and Finance departments to seamlessly integrate payroll and employee data + Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, and support employee tax inquiries providing exceptional customer service and support; facilitate payroll processing and troubleshoot complex issues/errors **Who You Are:** You are passionate about making an impact and always act with integrity.
