Essential Functions and Duties: Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Extensive experience and skills in all facets of payroll preparation, payroll tax deposit calculations, and quarterly payroll reports. Prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare financial statements and reports for management review Provide support during audits and ensure documentation is complete and organized Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax return preparation and accounting principles and practices Familiarity with accounting software, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
