Description Our client, a reputable organization in Consumer Goods, is seeking a highly organized Payroll Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Key Responsibilities: + Process and manage payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including data entry for timesheets, new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments. + Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations. + Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits deductions, and timekeeping issues. + Calculate and enter special payroll items such as bonuses, commissions, and overtime. + Collaborate with HR and Finance to maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies. + Prepare payroll reports for management, including payroll summaries and tax filings. + Support compliance efforts by staying up to date with local, state, and federal regulations affecting payroll. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. + 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a fast-paced environment. + Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, or Ceridian. + Familiarity with payroll tax laws and regulatory compliance. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, pivot tables, and formulas). + Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a focus on accuracy. + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
