Job SummaryThe Payroll Specialist – Time & Labor is a critical role responsible for researching and resolving time and labor questions or issues, ensuring the proper recording and payment of all employees paid time.
Responsibilities Management of multiple PTO plans including enrollment, accruals, overrides, exceptions and Year End Carry-over amounts Process and input various time and labor-related transactions in accordance with internal procedures Provide support and assist leaders with time entry approval and Time and Labor and delegation questions Ensure company policies are followed and adhered to relating to time and labor process for Accurate payment and SOX purposes Evaluate trends and recommend solutions; perform routine audits to validate and ensure proper adjustments of accruals, timekeeping, and processing as it relates to time and labor policies & processes Coordinate with the HR Technology team to troubleshoot time and labor issues May support the processing of bi-weekly payroll cycles and expedites off-cycle payroll runs as required Troubleshoots all time & labor issues and exceptions, addressing and resolving any issues in a timely manner; exercises sound judgment as to when to escalate issues to Payroll leadership Works closely with Payroll leadership to update and maintain critical payroll time and labor exception tables Develop queries/reports for projects and ongoing business needs with minimal direction Assist with time and labor testing as needed Qualifications High School Diploma required; Some college or Associate’s degree preferred 3+ years of experience with Time and Labor Technical skills in a variety of areas including, payroll processing, reporting, audit of time keeping, and performance of SOX controls Proficient in Office 365, especially MS Excel Exemplary client service orientation Strong data analysis and research skills Strong analytical skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasksAltice USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to recruiting, hiring and promoting qualified people of all backgrounds regardless of gender, race, color, creed, national origin, religion, age, marital status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
