Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and audit accurate payroll for multi-state employees on a weekly basis, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.Prepare and analyze payroll reports (weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc) to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.Proactively recommend process improvements through self-driven analysis and automate opportunities based on data insights.Stay up to date and apply all multi-state payroll regulations, federal and state labor laws, and tax codes, ensuring accurate application.Handle garnishments/levies, stop-payments, check reversals, and manual checks with precision.Manage data validation and file uploads, including pay adjustments, benefits, and W-2 resends.Support the Lucky Cat Meal allowance program by maintaining system accuracy and addressing employee inquiries.Provide prompt, clear responses to employee payroll-related inquiries, from deductions, time off, pay cards, taxes, etc.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance payroll efficiency.Draft and update payroll process documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Requirements:
Associate’s degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent experience.Minimum of 3 years of multi-state payroll processing experience, including garnishment/levy administration.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software; Workday experience preferred.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Work Location:
This role is based in Scottsdale, AZ 85255. It offers a hybrid work environment, requiring some days in the office while providing flexibility to work remotely for a portion of the time.
