InGenesis is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to work remotely with our corporate office. In this role, you will perform tasks to establish and maintain employee and payroll records. The Payroll Specialist’s duties include checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, maintaining time and attendance records, entering new hires into the payroll system, posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes. The Payroll Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Payroll Specialist.

Job Duties
Ensure employees are paid on time and in the correct amount· Enter new hires into payroll systemProcess multi-state payrolls with various pay frequenciesSet up state and federal tax jurisdictions accordinglyProcess termination payments in compliance with federal and state lawsCalculate adjustments, special pays and retroactive payments Issue manual payments as requiredReview system output reports to ensure continued accuracyCreate and submit payroll and leave reports to internal departments as requestedAssist in audit preparationsResearch and resolve payroll-related issues or questionsAssist in special team projects and company administrators/staff requestsPerform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.2+ years of experience in processing payroll.Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Proficiency in MS Office).High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Physical Demands
Frequently required to operate a computer and file and retrieve written documents.Physical demands may include but are not limited to standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
