PURPOSE OF YOUR WORK

At Checkers & Rally’s we make a difference in people’s lives by serving our Franchisees, Teams, and Guests. As a member of our team you will be, responsible for partnering closely with the Senior Payroll Manager on a day-to-day functionality within the payroll department. Additionally, you will be managing a team of payroll admins to ensure they are providing the utmost customer service to our restaurant and restaurant support center employees. This position will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll using SAP and must be able to effectively manage priorities with great attention to detail while performing a wide variety of routine record-keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wages and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and processing manual pay requests.

 

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE EVERYDAY

Responsible for the direct supervision of the payroll clerks, which includes providing them with clear goals, monitoring daily progress toward those goals, providing quality feedback on performance and identifying and addressing issues.Overseeing timely completion of each pay cycle; working with systems on operational issues; working with the People team on coordination issues; coordinating system testing for changes, assuring the accuracy of special pay processing, such as, bonuses and benefits.Review and ensure accuracy of payroll calculations, off-cycle checks, approved timesheets, garnishments and other special payroll deductions.Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with multi-state wage and hour laws.Serve as an escalated employee contact to resolve issues regarding payroll, leave accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits, and other pay related issues.Heavy customer service support in solving issues or handling requests from the field.

 

YOU'VE GOT THIS?

5-7 years of Payroll or Accounting experience.Strong mathematical skills and the ability to remain organized in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.Accuracy and strong attention to detail required.Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills.Commitment to our core values of integrity, service, excellence, and courage to be bold.Positive, customer-centric attitude.SAP SuccessFactors required.
