About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Support Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the support and maintenance of our Dayforce payroll system for our Canada and US Divisions.  This role will ensure seamless operations, and provide exceptional customer service to our internal stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of Dayforce payroll processes, system configurations and reporting.

Your Responsibilities Strong attention to detail Demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll and payroll systems First point of escalation for Payroll Support Specialists  Operates as the central point of contact for Dayforce payroll configuration changes for all Canada and US divisions using the application Ensures Dayforce is up-to-date, secure, and functioning optimally.  Troubleshoots and resolves payroll system issues, working closely with IT and HR teams to identify and implement solutions Coordinates with other teams for system upgrades and patches Responsible for leading/completing complex configuration Accountable for Quality Assurance and Ticket Management  Responsible for initial and on-going training of other team members  Ad-hoc project support for payroll projects as required  Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll system-related inquiries and issues. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate support.  Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements. Lead initiatives to implement changes that increase efficiency and accuracy Generate and analyze reports related to payroll system performance and issues. Provide insights and recommendations to management. Who we are looking for Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation Excellent collaborator and a team player Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information Understanding of HR, payroll and time operations and experience in employee data management Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment Focus on quality customer service Deep experience with Dayforce payroll Knowledge of Dayforce WFM an asset Certification in payroll management or related field preferred Your preferred qualifications 5 years of payroll & payroll system experience in a lead or supervisory capacity What we offer
