Payroll Tax Analyst

Description:

The team handles all the payroll tax activities for the US and Puerto Rico. This position is responsible for US and Puerto Rico payroll tax activities, including analyzing tax data for accuracy and ensuring timely remittance and reporting/filing of tax obligations through internal and third-party processes. This position will also be responsible for the analysis of employee tax records, allocations of taxes for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and the alternate work location activities.

Responsibilities:Help with quarter and month-end activities by preparing files for third-party provider to file the returns.Manually file and report W2 and W2Cs Federal Return quarterly and key payment into third-party vendor for a small number of US residents working outside the US.Provide support to internal and external partners by analyzing and resolving agency inquiries and notices from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.Resolve employee inquiries via email and SNOW (Service Now) ticketing system.Perform other duties or special projects as assigned or required.Assist with monthly SAP system testing, including SAP Tax changes and SUI Rate Changes.Partner with Mobility and EY on assignee tax activities for the US and Canada.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience within Payroll Tax or Accounting.Strong ability to analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and detail findings with recommendations.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Demonstrated ability to manage complex payroll tax issues.Understanding of US, Puerto Rico, and Federal, State, Local, and Providence payroll tax regulations.Understanding of US & Puerto Rico W2/W2C reporting and filing requirements.Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information and adhere to data privacy and internal compliance requirements.SAP Payroll ExperienceADP Smart Compliance ExperienceADP Master Tax ExperienceInpat and Expat ExperiencePay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00
