Payroll Team Lead - Hybrid
**DESCRIPTION** The Payroll Team Lead is responsible for the coordination of the payroll processing function by monitoring workflow, team assignments, and ensuring adherence to processing deadlines. Primary function of the role is ensuring payroll inputs/outputs are received and validated for accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions. Assists payroll team members with resolving errors, responding to inquiries, and ensuring service level commitments are achieved. The Payroll Team Lead may prepare and/or distribute reports on pay/deduction information. This role will lead payroll processing activities including manual check production and check distribution. The Payroll Team Lead will establish/enforce payroll processing controls to help ensure payroll processing is accurate each pay cycle. Leading the team in payroll processing activities to ensure deadlines are met, timely follow up on inquiries are made, and that necessary contributions from all team members are made and each understand their role in achieving successful payroll results. This role will ensure consistency in payroll processing, policy application, and ensures cross functional knowledge exits and is documented for all areas of the payroll processing function. Assists payroll manager with special projects and/or other duties as assigned. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Ensure timely receipt and accurate processing of payroll information (earnings/deductions) and reporting as needed every payroll cycle + Lead the payroll team in collection and maintenance of electronic files as needed for payroll cycle processing support and ensure files are received/transmitted in adherence with payroll processing schedules/deadlines + Receive/upload files to/from third parties and assist with resolving inquiries for missing or incorrect information + Input time-sensitive information into the payroll systems as needed for pay cycle inclusion and accurate pay cycle output + Manage ServiceNow/UKG cases and ensure service levels are consistently met; reassign/escalate cases as needed to achieve goals + Work on special projects as assigned by manager **QUALIFICATIONS** + Minimum of five years (5) years of previous payroll processing experience, preferably in a lead role with multi-state and multi-FEIN experience + Knowledge of diverse types of earnings/deductions, and appropriate taxation of them, tax withholding impact, and compliance with Federal/state statutes + Ability to analyze issues and take initiative to seek out the root cause of a problem and prioritization for remediation + Detail oriented with a strong aptitude for math + Excellent reading comprehension and able to understand policy/procedures/system documentation/legislative updates + Ability to work overtime as needed and work a hybrid work arrangement (on premise three days per week) + Professional, articulate, and capable of providing excellent customer service + Highly organized, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines + Ability to work independently or on a team and ensure earnings/deductions/payroll processing results remain confidential + Proficient and fully functional in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)UKG Pro payroll/timekeeping systems experience highly desired \#DiscoverYourPath **ABOUT US** Premium brings brands to life, engaging and exciting shoppers in-store and online for retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Walgreens and dozens more in all retail channels.
