The Opportunity:

Lead the Payroll Operations team to deliver efficient and effective services while exceeding quality standards. Drive cost and operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with governmental reporting. Foster strong stakeholder management and a customer-centric culture.

In this position you will be responsible for the following:

Team Leadership - Lead and manage the Payroll Operations team, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with KPIs and legal regulations.

Service Excellence - Continuously drive improvement projects for service excellence and consistent customer experience.

Data Analytics & Reporting -  Use data analytics to provide insights for proactive policy design and improved employee relationship management.

Vendor Management - Sustain relationships with external vendors and monitor their performance.

Cyclical Activities -  Lead or co-lead payroll activities such as annual compensation and bonus updates.

Consulting & Compliance - Provide organizational consulting and ensure strict technical, legal, and regulatory compliance.

Continuous Improvement - Own continuous improvement strategy, define and monitor KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.

Employment Decisions - Manage resource planning, hiring, training, development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

People Processes - Facilitate people processes in line with Roche Leadership commitments and People Practices. Ensure ongoing dialog on career, capabilities, connections, and contributions.

Who You Are:
Key Attributes/Skills:

Experience leading a team for more than two years

Experience in a shared service center, preferably in an HR services environment. Workday experience preferred. 

3-5 years of payroll experience, U.S payroll preferred

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or associated field preferred  

Excellent communication skills, fluent in English 

Ability to influence and work with key HR stakeholders to partner in achieving our strategy.  Ability to exert influence to create positive cultural change. 

Proven track record of being able to deliver and work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and divisions.
