The New Product Development Metals (NPD) PB Tech will report to the area Coordination Manager and will primarily have responsibility for New Product Development Metals production builds from concept to commercialisation. Ensuring NPD project builds are expedited through the operations manufacturing floor. Acting as first point of escalation for product issues and escalation to relevant NPD teams, engaging with Operations Line Leads and Product Builders to ensure builds adhere to schedule.
Further responsibilities will include participation in daily cross functional meetings, populating spreadsheets with accurate information on item status and yield, material management, resolving potential SAP issues with first time builds, supporting ad hoc manufacture and inspection of nonstandard build requests on an array of equipment, ensuring non-SAP sample builds ship to customers on time. Supporting product characterisation activity, gauge R & R's, process validations etc...

Job Responsibilities The role involves familiarisation with all production areas in metals, with main base being Propelus centre. Working closely with Coordination Manager, NPD Engineering, NPD Quality, Planning, and Operations, ensuring plan is adhered to and build support is provided. Required to attend and participate in daily tier meetings. Required to maintain tracker for NPD Work In Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG’s), providing status reports and escalating delays until product has shipped to customer. Required to support ad hoc builds at laser cutting, moulding, inspections etc… Supporting NPD Engineering in product characterization and creation of inspection standards. Preform GDP and yield analysis of routers during phase gates. Generate and provide comprehensive reports on WIP and FG's to manager and project teams using both SAP & Excel Additional Responsibilities Order materials/product from the WHS and Shipping. Conduct material management activities i.e. monthly cycle counts. Maintain a clean and organised work area to facilitate manufacturing function. Conduct machine safety checks. Experience using MS Excel, Word etc… SAP Expert, first point of contact in Operations for SAP issues on new builds. Responsible for ensuring resolution. What your background should look like: Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification. Be innovative in line with lean thinking and process excellence. Fluent spoken and written English. High level of dexterity is essential. Demonstrated technical capabilities in current role & ability to learn processes quickly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of Engineering, Quality Systems and lean manufacturing. Proven keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a highly technical, challenging and changing environment.
