We are currently looking for an IT Technician & Service Support to join the IT department of Sandvik Machining Solutions.

About the job

As IT Technician & Service Support, your goal is to ensure that the implementation of business processes within the IT application area are done according to set requirements, using the possibilities given in the Sandvik IT systems. The role requires the following main responsibilities: 

Provide IT technical support to users in both office and manufacturing environments.Provide IT application software support.Evaluate business requirements and suggest solutions including time and cost estimations when required.Understand business processes/requirements and design solutions for identified gaps.Manage assigned incidents (investigate, solve, perform status updates and document solution).

Key Responsibilities:

Setup and configure PC and mobile devices, including hardware and software installation.Deliver efficient and timely responses to support requests, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.Evaluate business requirements and suggest solutions including time and cost estimations when required.Understand business processes/requirements and design solutions for identified gaps.Manage assigned incidents (investigate, solve, perform status updates and document solution).Collaborate with the end-users to ensure smooth installation and configuration, providing the necessary support and training.Ensure all systems are properly configured to meet company security and performance guidelines.Maintain and update the local IT Asset Management DB, ensuring all IT assets (PC, mobile, peripherals) are accurately recorded and tracked.Configure and manage both mobile devices and VoIP phone systems, providing support and maintenance for corporate devices handling hardware and software issues.Manage and configure network switches, performing physical LAN/WAN tasks such as cabling, patching, and troubleshooting to ensure network connectivity.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating more complex issues as needed.Manage the procurement of IT equipment, working closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of IT orders.

Secondary school degree, preferably with Information Technology address.At least 2-3 years’ experience as IT technical support and/or IT service desk in a multinational company or in consultancy firm providing IT support services to multinational companies; knowledge of IT support in a production site, even if not mandatory, is considered a plus.We are seeking an IT Technician & Service Support analyst with strong soft skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the potential to grow into a leadership role, demonstrating excellent project management and coordination abilities. They must be adept at customer-facing interactions, presenting confidently, and maintaining a professional attitude to represent our IT services function effectively. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential to ensure seamless support and client satisfactionGood knowledge of computer architecture, Windows servers and IP networks.Good knowledge of the most widespread software used in business environments (Microsoft, Adobe etc.).Analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality solutions and customer service.Good interpersonal skills and effective communication, ability to effectively convey, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Teamwork: understanding the necessity and value of teamwork; ability to work effectively as part of a team.Ability to work in a networked and matrix organization.Openness towards changes and flexibility; versatility on the everyday job, and passion to learn and test new technologies.Availability to travel.Native Spanish required. Intermediate English required, both spoken and written
