The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and committed to providing exceptional patient care. In this role you will be assisting patients with their activities of daily living, performing vital signs, and performing EKGs. This 32 bed unit hosts primarily a patient population of medical, telemetry, and stroke patients. We are looking for someone who is looking to can work efficiently and collaborate as a team.

The general duties of the Patient Care Assistant include:

Provides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care teamAssists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environmentAssists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinicianSupports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties

One year of recent experience working under the license of an licensed healthcare provider OR current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentalsMust be able to speak, read and follow instruction in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitudeAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications::

CNA certificationMultiple patient care skills preferredPreferred one-year acute care experience
